Free safety check for automatic gate owners

A Tyrone company has come forward to offer a free safety check to users of automatic gates following recent tragic events in England.

Cookstown-based DEA Gate Automation who specialise in the manufacture and installation of gate automation in homes and businesses throughout Ireland and the UK have encouraged property owners to make sure their gates are properly maintained and serviced.

Their offer of a free safety check comes following the death of a young girl in Manchester when she was crushed by gates at a housing development in the city. The gate equipment was not supplied by DEA. It followed other recent high profile accidents in Dorset and Kent.

Keith McGuffin (Manager Director) of DEA, advised owners of automatic gates to carry out precautionary checks on their property and ensure the necessary safety devices are working properly.
“All automatic gates and doors are effectively classified as machines and must have force limitation and presence sensing features. Owners of automatic gates often overlook maintenance and safety issues, which is a risk they cannot afford to take.

DEA offer a four year warranty with their products as opposed to the typical two years offered by other manufacturers, but following these recent tragic events we are offering automatic gate owners – domestic or business – a free, no obligation, safety check.

Our trained, experienced installation staff will be able to provide a free technical file covering risk analysis, mechanical and electrical design and a final testing report. This is simply to give automatic gate owners peace of mind.

This camera unit goes a step further than the Digiphone kit above. Not only can the user open the gates from outside by typing the secret access code through the keypad and inside via a release button, they can also see the guest at the gates by viewing the screen on the internal handset.

The digiphone kit is a two way intercom system with the addition of a code lock module. This module allows the user to open the gates from inside via a release button, and also outside by typing the secret (4-8 digit) code through the keypad.

Audio Door Entry Kit

The two way intercom system has a press button on the front panel to buzz the internal handset. For two way speech the user must lift the internal receiver on the handset, and press the release button to grant access.
